Give The Illegal Aliens A Drivers License!

I know to some so-called conservatives or so-called patriots, I may seem like a Liberal, well I am a Liberal in the if you use the definition from the dictionary correctly. Liberal defined.
Here is my short argument in favor of allowing illegal aliens to apply for, pay for, and pass the test to get a valid driver's license:

1: Additional Revenues for each state.
2: A great way to track illegal aliens, just issue a license with a code, for example put a "UD" on the license, use for facial recognition to track international and national criminals and terrorists.
3: They are driving now anyway without a license or insurance, why not help normalize the situation for American citizens and the illegal aliens by letting them have a license and insurance without fear of deportation? This way, if they have an accident it will be paid for by the insurance company. Otherwise the victim, the American citizen has no legal recourse to get the money to repair their vehicle or themselves. This leaves the American citizen stuck to pay for the repairs on the vehicle and/or medical expenses out of pocket. Maybe one can obtain a judgment against the illegal alien, but how can you collect on it when the person is paid in cash and has no bank account?

How are we going to deport approximately 20 million illegal aliens? Our police agencies seem pretty well taxed as well as our military. Due to the high cost of the war in Iraq, I am sure there are budgetary constraints to adding more manpower. How are we going to get the manpower to stop every Hispanic looking person walking the street and ask for their papers? Is this how we want America to be?
If they are here working and being otherwise law abiding residents, why not try to normalize them? Think of the larger picture! We are getting inferior and dangerous products from China. Why not revitalize our manufacturing economy by having a symbiotic relationship with the illegal aliens that want to strive for the American Dream? Let's start seeing items in Walmart and other stores saying "Made In America"! Let's be more of a country that produces and exports goods instead of being a country dependent on other countries and having trade deficits.I think this would help our economy in a major way. We can use the additional revenue to really SECURE OUR PORTS AND BORDERS! We can also build our military up with additional manpower. With the neo-clown's, colonialist and interventionist policies in force, we are going to need more manpower!

Leave The Dog Alone Man!

Hannity gave this guy a softball interview and Dog gave the usual "I'm not a racist" (even though I said ni**er about 20 times in one paragraph) B.S. line.
Then Dog went on to say that he didn't know it was such a hurtful word. This is the same Dog that was allegedly a 1% 'er and in a gang in prison. Yeah I'm sure the outlaw bikers and the white prison gang was just "kickin it with the homies" in prison and on the street and calling them ni**er, in a "loving, friendly way".
I would have more respect for the Dog, if he just came out and said that it was a private, heated conversation with his son and it's none of any one's business what he says in a private conversation.
My bottom line.............. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". I am sure that there are families on all sides of the color and ethnic spectrum , that have had the same or similar conversation with their loved ones. Should they loose their jobs and livelihood over a private conversation with a family member? NO!
So I say, give the man a pass, he did his little apology thing and says he's going to buried with the slaves on George Washington's plantation ( what a crock of S***!). Give the Dog his show back and
LEAVE THE DOG ALONE!

Police Brutality Again?

I don't think it was police brutality per se. I think the video clip you will see comes on towards the end of the conflict, so I don't think one can have a totally objective conclusion from this short clip. When I showed this to my somewhat liberal and objective wife, she immediately said "police brutality", but then she realized who was asking her and she analyzed it more and saw that the perp was actually resisting arrest.
It's easy to be an armchair quarterback when your butt is not on the line (ala my disdain for the chickenhawk talking heads) , but coming from a martial arts/enforcement POV the punches to the face were not that necessary, when you have your shin bone cutting off the guy's air or blood supply on his neck! That may be one reason why the perp was pushing his arms up and resisting, because he couldn't breathe. The second officer who was trying to secure the perp with the cuffs was a little indecisive and nervous (who wouldn't be) in my opinion. It seemed like the office who punched the guy had more control of the perp and the second officer was using his radio etc. This in my opinion should be a good training tape for police officers where they can learn about the impact of bad teamwork and how to deal with the situation. Again it's a short clip. Give these guys some extra training and put them back out on the street.

Training like this should be required for police officers for at least 1 hour per week broken up into 4 , 20 minute "seminars" or 2 30 minute "seminars" or however it's worded, per week. This would keep the officers sharp, in shape, and able to deal with a subject that is resisting like the case in question. Here are some previews:

The Police ground combat is a good video, it needs more emphasis on weapon retention, etc. but it's a great intro.

LOS ANGELES — Video footage posted on Youtube.com showing a police officer repeatedly striking a suspect in the face during an arrest three months ago has triggered an FBI investigation.

The video shows two officers holding down William Cardenas, 24, on a Hollywood street as one punches him several times in the face before they are able to handcuff him. The struggling suspect yells repeatedly "I can't breathe!"

Click here to watch the video on YouTube.

The footage, shot by an area resident, came to the FBI's attention Thursday, prompting investigators to open a civil rights inquiry into the Aug. 11 incident, agency spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said.

The police department has begun its own criminal and administrative investigations into the officers' use of force, said police spokesman Lt. Paul Vernon.

Tony Macrini to Interview Bobby Scott and James Webb on Nov. 6th

Be ready for an excellent interview. Because of Tony's independent mindset this will not be a softball or wiffleball interview that you have heard on other talk shows that are partisan and not objective. Mr. Webb and Mr. Scott, if you are reading this (probably not)I am sure you know to have your ducks in order when coming on Tony's show! He's fair but he's going to call you on key issues. Good luck!

Blogger Brutally Assaulted By Allen's Thugs!

Look at this brutality! Now Allen's thugs are attacking "bloggers"! Who's next?
I thought the video was quite funny. The old guy even body slammed him pretty well. This guy is giving us bloggers a bad name! Just imagine if this happened at a Webb campaign speech and Webb's security team did this to a rightwing blogger, we'd be hearing about it ad nauseum from 10am thru 11pm, now that Savage is back shilling for the Republicans. Savage's act is worn out!

Here's the video

Fox's Col. Hunt endorses Webb over Allen

FOX’s Col. Hunt endorses Jim Webb over George Allen

hc-hunt.jpg In a twist that left Sean Hannity almost speechless on H&C Friday night, FOX News military analyst Col. Hunt said that he preferred Jim Webb over George Allen in the Virgina race because he's a battle tested military man and Allen is just a football player.

Hunt: He's a Marine combat hero.

George F. Will on Iraq:

Please note: This is NOT the 'liberal media" nor "drive by media"
A surreal facet of the Iraq fiasco is the lag between when a fact becomes obvious and when the fiasco's architects acknowledge it.

By George F. Will
Newsweek

Nov. 6, 2006 issue - Many months ago it became obvious to all but the most ideologically blinkered that America is losing the war launched to deal with a chimeric problem (an arsenal of WMD) and to achieve a delusory goal (a democracy that would inspire emulation, transforming the region). Last week the president retired his mantra "stay the course" because it does not do justice to the nimbleness and subtlety of U.S. tactics for winning the war.

What's Left or Right?

This is a very clever and insightful article written by Mr. Buchanan. In my opinion it has a lot of truths illuminated within it's paragraphs. Here are some excerpts that stood out to me;

"As in New Deal days, our Cultural Revolution, and the high times of the Great Society, a conservative today must be a counterrevolutionary. While Bush’s judges and Supreme Court justices have been top of the line and his tax cuts conservative, his democracy crusade and his open-borders immigration policy, his Big Government conservatism and free-trade-über-alles globalism owe more to FDR and LBJ than Goldwater or Reagan."

"
But the returns are now coming in from the Bush experiment with a Rockefeller Republicanism that he calls “compassionate conservatism.”
The rising casualties and soaring costs of an unnecessary war in Iraq, an overstretched military, immense trade deficits that must bring down the dollar, the loss of sovereignty and economic independence, a bloated federal bureaucracy to which Bushites have added as much as LBJ, an unresisted invasion over our southern border, the selling of the party of Reagan to the money power—all are the marks of an empire at the end of its tether."

I agree wholeheartedly with the above excerpt. This is why I posted the essay about the fall of the Roman Empire. Sometimes it seems that we are headed in that direction, we need to put the brakes on and turn around and do 180 dergree turn toward the other direction and take our country back. Vote for change on Election Day! Leave a strong message, we can always vote them out if they don't do a good job.

"
Conservatives have seen their movement hijacked by ideological vagabonds and hustlers who are redefining it to mean what it never meant. We need to find who sold the pass. Before we can take back our country, we must take back our movement"

One need to look only to the talking heads and propoganda machine for the neo-cons. I find it funny that these propoganda artists always complain about the "Main Stream Media" or "Drive by media", as one of the hustlers refers to the main networks, when they have at least an eight to 10 hour block on talk radio everyday! Their voices are not being suppresed. I challenge someone to compare the news from CNN, MSNBC, and ABC to FoxNews and show me any significant difference in reporting the news. Many times, the coverage in Foxnews is more damning to the Republicans than reports from CNN.

Bush Signs U.S.- Mexico Border Fence Bill

This is a step in the right (no pun intended) direction, In the next article you will see a link to the Secure Fence act of 2006. Maybe this and the presidents comments can be discussed with Factcheck.org?

Thursday, October 26, 2006

WASHINGTON — President Bush signed into law Thursday a broad measure that calls for fencing a third of the 2,100-mile border between the United States and Mexico.

"This bill will protect the American people, this will bill make our borders more secure. It is an important step in immigration reform," Bush said from the White House Roosevelt Room before putting pen to paper.

Bush was joined by Vice President Dick Cheney, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, House Majority Leader John Boehner and several other lawmakers and administration officials.Bush said the United States is a nation of immigrants but also a nation of laws.

FOX News Poll: Democrats Preferred on Most Issues

NEW YORK — Less than two weeks before Election Day, Democrats hold a double-digit lead over Republicans among likely voters in the Congressional election — not surprising, as Democrats are seen as the party that can do a better job on almost all of the top issues facing the country today, according to a new FOX News poll. Republicans still have the advantage on one of their traditional strengths — handling the issue of terrorism, although even that lead has tightened.

Rush Limbaugh: A Disgrace to Himself and Conservatives after mocking Michael J. Fox

Ok WNIS  (Wnis 790am is a station in Norfolk, Virginia) listeners and people everywhere that listen to Limbaugh. I heard that SOB mock Michael J. Fox yesterday and then try to do damage control today by lying to his audience and saying he was putting up a plausible argument and not mocking Michael J. Fox. Well the problem for Rush is that, this fat egotistical putz has a web cam for his avid listeners, aka Ditto Heads. Well, I guess not everyone is a Dittohead that subscribes. Here's a tape of this fool shown on the Imus show. Limbaugh's scene is at 2 minutes and 20 seconds into this: Video

Is this the "moral compass" for the Conservative Party? Look at the way Rush was flapping his arms and head and mocking this poor guy. This is how far the so-called Conservative movement has sunk? Or is just how far Limbaugh has sunk and how much lower can he go before people wake up and realize this man for the charlatan of ideas and ideology that he is. It's time for true Conservatives to stand up and tell Mr. Limbaugh that he is wrong on this one, amongst many others..

To quote Mr. Imus (who I have a newer and greater respect for by the way):

"Rush Limbaugh, a fat, draft-dodging, drug addict -- jacking his maid up, having her buy dope for him -- That fat son of b*tch, I mean, enough bad stuff can't happen to him," Imus said.
I agree 1000% and then some.

Interview with Secretary Webb

I think Tony Macrini's interview with Secretary Webb was a good and informative interview. The only question that Secretary Webb stumbled on was Tony's question regarding government , more specifically Federally funded schools. Now I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but in my opinion had Secretary Webb been a little smoother and actually fake, he could have answered the question possibly like this; " Well Tony, I am in favor of state funded education, I am in favor of states' rights and if the citizens of the State of Virginia want publicly funded education , I do too. If the citizens want better access to private schools, I am in favor of a school voucher program. The great state of Virginia knows how to educate it's people and I want it to stay that way, Tony". Instead like a true Marine , Secretary Webb stood his ground and basically told Tony that with this issue, they agree to disagree.

I like the fact that Secretary Webb sounded confident and well qualified when he was speaking about the Iraqi Conflict. Mr Webb exuded the confidence of a Marine and more importantly the bearing of a Marine. My first thought was , "Wow , it would be good to have a fellow Veteran and real man at the helm and not some dressed up politician that never served in the military and knows nothing about war and foreign policy, except for what he is told to do by the Administration". Mr. Webb sounds more like an Independent instead of a Democrat. This is a good thing and a good start.

Tony, I agree, my vote is for SECRETARY WEBB!!!!!! Vote Democrat in this election! The Republicans as well as the Democrats need a strong message from us. Toss party loyalty aside and let's concentrate on what is best for America. Let the politicians see that we can be Independent and that we are issue oriented and that our votes will be cast for the candidate that wants to work FOR us and not their party or petty party interests. We need a Third Party desperately. I am in favor of an Independent Moderate Party. The party of reason and basic values that most of us can agree upon. God Bless America!
Good luck Secretary Webb, sir.

Bush chides father for election remarks

Here's an excerpt:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush gently admonished his father for saying he hates to think what life would be like for his son if the Democrats win control of Congress in the November 7 election.

It was the latest sign of possible strain in the relationship between the two men.

"He shouldn't be speculating like this, because -- he should have called me ahead of time and I'd tell him they're not going to (win)," a smiling Bush told ABC "This Week" in an interview broadcast on Sunday.

It follows the recent release of a book, "State of Denial," by journalist Bob Woodward, that says the 82-year-old former president was "anguished" over how the Iraq war has played out, although he has dismissed that account.
